Mometasone 0.1% Ointment: My Skin is Clear but is this safe?
I've been using Mometasone 0.1% Ointment for my eczema for a few weeks now, and it's been a game-changer. The redness and itching have almost completely gone, but I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. Has anyone else used this and experienced any serious issues? I'm particularly concerned about the risk of thinning skin or developing Cushing's syndrome. Should I be worried, or is it generally safe for long-term use?

I've been using a similar corticosteroid for years with no problems. Just follow the instructions and don't overdo it. This sounds really scary.
Honestly, I think the risk is worth it if it means you can finally get some relief from the itching and redness. Just keep an eye out for any strange symptoms and you should be fine. The list of side effects sounds scary, but most people don't experience them.
I had a friend who used this and ended up with stretch marks. Not sure if it was from the ointment but just thought I'd mention it. Better safe than sorry, right?
I thought this stuff was supposed to help with itching, but mine got worse. Maybe I should try something else?
I'm not sure what to do. This stuff is amazing for my skin, but I'm scared of the side effects. Has anyone talked to their doctor about it? Maybe I should go to the dermatologist?
