I've been taking Montelukast 10mg tablets for a few months now to manage my asthma and allergies. So far, it's been helpful, but I've been experiencing some side effects that have me a bit concerned. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I've read about the potential for severe side effects, which is definitely worrying. I've also noticed some stomach discomfort and headaches, but I'm not sure if these are directly related to the medication or just a coincidence. I'm curious to hear from others who have taken or are currently taking Montelukast and what their experiences have been. Specific, if you've had any side effects, how did you manage them? Also, should I be concerned about the severe side effects? How likely are these to occur? Any insights would be greatly appreciated! I'm thinking about switching to another medication but I also don't want to mess up my treatment. I might call my doctor today but I also want to learn from you guys what you have observed.

I think the side effects are worth putting up with. I've been taking this for a couple of years and it's been great. My asthma hasn't been as bad, and I haven't had to use my inhaler as much. Definitely discuss with your doctor though. I don't think the severe side effects are that common, but I understand why you'd be worried.

If you're experiencing severe side effects, definitely seek medical attention right away. Don't wait to see if it gets better. It's always better to be safe. If you're just experiencing minor side effects, definitely mention them to your doctor. They might be able to adjust your dosage or switch you to a different medication.

I started taking Montelukast a few months ago and have had no side effects. It's been great for my allergies, and I haven't had any trouble breathing or congestion.

If you're feeling uneasy about the side effects, you might want to check out online reviews or forums before reaching out to your doctor. Some people have had good success with this medication and others have had some issues. It might be helpful to get a broader perspective.

Has anyone else felt really irritable or depressed while taking this? I've been on it for a couple of months and I'm starting to feel like it's affecting my mood. I didn't see this listed as a side effect, so I'm not sure if it's related.

I switched from Montelukast to a different asthma medication because I kept getting weird dreams and nightmares. It was really freaking me out. I didn't experience any of the severe side effects, but the nightmares were enough for me to stop taking it. I've been on my new medication for a few months now and haven't had any issues.

I've had some weird skin reactions since starting Montelukast. I went to the doctor and they told me it's probably not related to the medication, but I'm still not sure. I'm going to switch medications just to be safe. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

My doctor told me that the severe side effects are pretty rare, so try not to worry too much. If you're experiencing stomach discomfort and headaches, keep track of them and mention it to your doctor at your next appointment. They can help determine if it's the medication or something else.

Montelukast saved my life. I was having severe asthma attacks before I started taking it. I haven't had any of the severe side effects listed, but I did experience some stomach discomfort at first. It went away after a few weeks. Definitely talk to your doctor about switching medications if you're feeling uneasy, though. They can provide the best advice tailored to your situation.
