I was prescribed Morphine Sulf 120mg ER Caps (24h) for severe, ongoing pain and I'm feeling really nervous about it. These are extended-release capsules that I take once a day. The list of potential side effects is incredibly long and daunting. I've heard that this is a strong opioid and can be really problematic. Does anyone have any tips or advice? My doctor assured me that the benefits outweighted the risk, but I still have my concerns. The last thing I want is to experience any of those severe and potentially life-threatening side effects they mention in the pamphlet.

I've been on them for a while now. Just don't drink alcohol with it nor take any other medications without asking your doctor first. Drug interactions can be serious.

Just be aware of the signs of an overdose. If you start experiencing severe dizziness, trouble breathing, or slow heartbeat, seek medical attention immediately. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I've been on them for a few months now and they've been a game-changer for my chronic pain. I did have some issues with constipation at first but my doctor put me on a stool softener and that helped a lot. I also make sure to stay hydrated. Just be careful, especially if you have a history of substance abuse. These are serious medications. I know people who got hooked and had to go through opiate addiction treatment.

Don't mix this with other medications that can cause serotonin syndrome. Also try to avoid any unnecessary medications while you're taking it.

Just be really careful with this medication. It can be really helpful but it can also be really dangerous. I've seen people get really messed up on this stuff. Just be careful and follow your doctor's instructions.

I was really nervous about taking this too. I did some research and found out that extended-release means the medication is released into your system slowly over 24 hours. It's supposed to help with constant, severe pain. Just make sure to take it at the same time every day.

I've been on these for a while and I've had some issues with feeling really tired and weak. I talked to my doctor and they suggested I take it at night because it can cause drowsiness but honestly, it's still rough. Be prepared for that.
