Multi-Vit/fe /fl 0.25mg Drops 50ml: Has anyone given this to their baby? I want to ask about possible side effects.
I was prescribed Multi-Vit/fe/fl 0.25mg drops for my 6 month old baby. The doctor said it's great for helping with iron and fluoride, but I'm concerned about the possible side effects. I've never heard of this before and haven't seen much online. Has anyone given this to their child? I want to hear about your experience especially with the side effects, how bad were they and did you speak to a doctor about it.

Seriously, why isn't this more widely known? It's frustrating how little info is out there. I had to do a lot of digging to find anything useful. It's crazy that this stuff can cause such serious side effects and there's no warning label on it.
I think it's common and generally safe.
I'm allergic to itching too.
I gave this to my daughter for a few months and saw no issues at all. Her pediatrician recommended it for supplemental iron and fluoride and I had to make sure to brush her teeth regularly to avoid discolouration. She didn’t experience any adverse effects. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it for the benefits. I'd recommend you stay in touch with your pediatrician and monitor your baby's reaction closely.
I didn’t even know fluoride was in vitamins. It makes sense, though. I guess it’s good for the teeth. I guess I’ll find out when my child is a little older.
Regular brushing to prevent staining? sounds like a pain, I'm right?
I think the darkening of teeth is more common than people think. My son had a hard time with this. It can be minimized by brushing the teeth frequently but it still doesn't look great. Like you said, regular brushing can help.
I had to stop giving it to my son because of the stomach issues. He was vomiting and had a lot of diarrhea. I called the doctor and they said to stop it and we haven't had any issues since. I think it's worth staying on top of side affects, but I'm glad overall it stopped the other way.
I’m glad I found this thread. My pediatrician just prescribed this to my baby, and I was worried about the side effects. It’s great to hear from other parents. I’ll definitely talk to my doctor about the darkening of the teeth and any other side effects.
I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this. I didn't know it was a thing until my pediatrician prescribed it. The taste isn't great, but my baby doesn't seem to mind it mixed with apple sauce. I've heard it can stain teeth, is that true?
