I'm considering Lisdexamfetamine 20mg Chewable Tabs for my child, but I'm a bit overwhelmed by the side effects. Does anyone have experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about what to expect and any tips you might have. It seems like it could be a game-changer if it works, but I want to be fully informed before making a decision.

Nice! I've heard it's better than regular adderall because it releases slower. I wish I could have taken something like this when I was a kid.

Lisdexamfetamine is a prodrug, by the way, so it gets converted into dextroamphetamine in the body, which is actually the active substance. That's why it's less likely to be abused.

My daughter had a bad reaction to this drug. She got really pale and had these weird tingling sensations in her hands and feet. We had to stop giving it to her right away and find something else; it's scary but better to be safe.

I took this for ADHD in college. It definitely helped with focus, but it also made me super jittery sometimes. Make sure your kid eats a good breakfast before taking it to avoid stomach issues.

I started on this when I was 8. It has been a long journey to figure out the right dosage, but it's helped a lot with my focus and impulse control. Useful for school and work.

Be super cautious about mixing this with other meds or supplements. I had a horrible experience with something called serotonin syndrome when I combined it with St. John's Wort.

I'm not sure how I feel about giving stimulants to a 10-year-old, but I get that it can be necessary. This drug seems to have fewer side effects than others, though. It's important to weigh the pros and cons.

My kiddo has been on this for a year and it's been a lifesaver. At first we were worried about the side effects but they were minimal. Make sure to talk to your doctor about checking blood pressure regularly. Also, the chewable tabs are a lot easier to manage for kids than pills.

I think it's worth trying if your kid's quality of life is suffering from ADHD. We had to try a few different medications before finding the right one, but it was so worth it in the end. Good luck!

I've heard horror stories about kids getting their hands on this and abusing it, or selling it to other kids. Make sure to keep it secure and monitor your kid's behavior when they're on it.
