I've been on Amnesteem (Isotretinoin) 10mg Capsules for about three months now, and it's been a roller coaster. I've tried everything for my severe acne, and finally, my dermatologist prescribed Amnesteem. The strict rules, especially the pregnancy warning, are daunting, but I understand the risks. I've experienced some side effects, but I'm hopeful that the benefits will outweigh them. Has anyone else been through this? What was your experience like? Any tips for managing the side effects?

I've been on Amnesteem for a year now, and it's been a game-changer for my skin. Definitely worth the strict rules and side effects. Just be diligent with your blood tests and doctor appointments.

I saw a lot of people say they got a smelly and oily scalp. Like a weird, waxy texture. Has anyone else had this? I'm pretty sure this is a side effect of the drug.

I've heard horror stories about the side effects. I thought about trying it, but the potential for liver and mental health problems scared me. I'm sticking with my topicals and antibiotics, hoping they'll eventually clear it up.

I'm on week 4 and my skin is already looking better. I've had some dryness, but my doctor gave me a lot of tips to manage it. Just remember to drink lots of water and use lots of moisturizer. The side effects are tough, but my skin is finally responding.

I had to stop Amnesteem because of severe back pain. They think it might have been from the medicine. Have you had any issues with muscle pain or back pain?

Dry skin is the worst, but I've been using a lot of CeraVe and Vaseline. It's helped a lot. My lips are still super dry, though. I always make sure to moisturize everything. Sometimes I can forget to moisturize and then it becomes a problem.

I tried Amnesteem and had to stop after a month because of severe dryness and joint pain. It's not for everyone, and the side effects can be rough. My acne improved, but the side effects were too much for me to handle. Maybe talk to your doctor about starting with a lower dose if you haven't already.
