I have been prescribed Gilotrif 30mg Tablets to treat my stage IV lung cancer. Afatinib has shown promise in targeting specific proteins (EGFR, HER2, HER4) that help cancer cells grow. By blocking these proteins, it's hoped that the drug can slow or stop the cancer's growth. However, I'm already experiencing some side effects and I'm wondering if anyone else has gone through this. What should I expect, and how can I manage these side effects effectively? If you or someone you know has taken Gilotrif, I'd love to hear your experiences and advice.

I'm so sorry to hear about the skin reactions. That sounds awful. Fingers crossed this doesn't happen to anyone else out here.

I'm not currently taking Gilotrif, but I've heard about the serious lung problems it can cause, especially in Asian patients. Make sure you understand this risk and get immediate help if you start showing any symptoms. And from my experience, dealing with new meds, the keto diet works wonders for managing the nausea and diarrhea.

I had to stop taking Gilotrif because of severe skin reactions. It started with a rash and then turned into something much worse. I had to go to the ER twice because of it. The doctor said it was a severe skin reaction, and it was under severe side effects we should check.

One thing that's been really helpful for me is staying hydrated. It helps with a lot of the side effects, like dry skin and mouth sores. Plus, it's just good for your overall health. And drink lots of fluids. I mean, it's kind of a no-brainer, but I didn't get it until I started taking a bunch of pills.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but has anyone experienced eye problems with this? I've had some irritation, but my doctor said it was normal. I haven't developed any changes in eyesight or sensitivity to bright lights. I've also been prescribed eye drops. I just want to hear from someone who has taken the medication.

You are not alone! There are many of us on this journey. You have to stay positive and take each day as it comes. I've found a support group that helps me cope. It's been really helpful to talk to others who understand what I'm going through. Stay strong, and remember, you're not alone in this fight!
