I was prescribed Biaxin 500mg Tablets for a respiratory tract infection and I'm wondering if anyone else has taken them and what their experience was like. The info above is helpful, but I'd love to hear some personal stories. It's important to know what to expect with side effects, both common and the more serious ones. I didn't experience any of the urgent side effects, just some stomach pain and a change in taste, but I'm curious if anyone else had different symptoms or needed to stop taking them.

I had no idea about the potential liver problems. That's concerning. I had some stomach pain but nothing too bad. Just something to keep in mind.

I had to stop taking it because of muscle pain and weakness. It was really scary. My doc said it's not common, but they switched me to another antibiotic and I'm doing better.

I always get a change in taste with antibiotics. It's annoying, but worth it if it kills the infection. Just drink lots of water and it should go away.

It's scary to think about the severe side effects, but I didn't have any major issues. Just some stomach upset. Definitely worth it to get better.

I had to take Biaxin for an H. pylori infection. It was a relief when I started feeling better, but the taste change was weird. Stick with it though, it helped a lot.

I took Biaxin for a skin infection and it worked great! No major side effects, just a bit of an upset stomach. Make sure to finish the whole course even if you feel better.

I had a really bad reaction to Biaxin. I started getting hives and my throat felt tight. Scared the hell out of me, but after stopping and going to the ER, I felt better. Definitely worth being cautious with this one.

Biaxin saved my life when I had pneumonia. The side effects were minor compared to how sick I was. Just listen to your doctor and call if you have any concerns.

I didn't know about the severe skin reactions. That's terrifying. I'm glad I didn't have any issues, but I'll definitely keep an eye out for that if I ever need to take it again.
