I've been on Adderall XR for a few years now and it's been a game-changer for my ADHD. The focus and attention improvements are amazing, but I've also experienced some side effects. I wanted to start this thread to discuss the pros and cons of this medication. Does anyone else find that the insomnia is really bad? What are your strategies for managing it? Also, has anyone experienced any weird side effects? Let's share our stories and tips.

Have any of you tried adding in an aerobic exercise routine? I found that helped with the jitters and also helped me sleep better at night.

Same here. I also found that the appetite suppression was really noticeable at first, but it got better after a few months. I've also had some issues with dry mouth, which is annoying but manageable.

I've been on Adderall XR for a few months now and I've had a really positive experience so far. My focus and attention have improved a lot, and I haven't experienced any major side effects. The only thing I've noticed is a bit of restlessness, but it's not too bad. I've been taking mine on an empty stomach in the morning, and it seems to work well for me.

Be careful switching around, but I understand where you're coming from. If anyone has any tips for dealing with the heartbeat issue, I'd love to hear them.

I've been on Adderall XR for about a year now and it's definitely helped with my focus, but the side effects are a bit of a pain. I've had trouble sleeping and I've noticed some weight loss, which can be concerning. I've tried taking it earlier in the day to combat the insomnia, but it's still a struggle.

I wouldn't want to be on this stuff without supervision. But I know what you mean. My doctor lowered my dose and it got to the point where I was almost phoning it in every morning. I'd just forget to take it. It's a delicate balance, right?

You guys are talking about this like it's some minor inconvenience. It's not. My partner gets awful edema every time they take this, and it's just a nightmare. Get her feet swelling up and there's no way she can go to work. She's been trying to switch to a non-stimulant, but the doc keeps saying this is the best option.
