I recently started treatment with Besponsa for my acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). It's been a rollercoaster, so I wanted to share my experiences and hear from others who have gone through or are going through the same thing. Besponsa works by targeting a specific protein on cancer cells, and while it's effective, the side effects can be challenging. The doctor warned me about severe reactions like allergic responses, bleeding, and infections, which can be life-threatening. I've had mild fatigue and muscle weakness, mainly but nothing too alarming. I'm curious to know how others are managing. Any advice on dealing with the side effects or just sharing your story would be greatly appreciated!

Been there, done that. Just remember, the side effects are tough, but Besponsa is doing its job. Make sure to regularly check in with your doctor and report any side effects immediately. It's essential to stay on top of things.

Yeah, the tumor lysis syndrome is rare but quite serious. Symptoms include rapid heartbeat and muscle weakness. If you notice anything like that, go to the ER right away. I read up on it to be prepared.

I'm new to the group and just got diagnosed with ALL. Who has tips on managing the anxiety during treatment?

I had some crazy mouth sores and diarrhea in the beginning, but they seem to be getting better. Hang in there, and don't be afraid to ask your doctor for help. He or she can prescribe meds to make things more bearable.
