My Experience with Bortezomib 3.5mg Inj for Multiple Myeloma
I've been on Bortezomib for about 6 months now to treat my multiple myeloma. The medication has been effective, but I've had some side effects that I wish I had been better prepared for. The injection site irritation is the worst, but it's manageable with some ice and topical creams. I've also had some fatigue and dizziness, but nothing too severe. I just wish there was more information out there about managing these side effects. Has anyone else had similar experiences or tips to share?

I can't believe how many side effects there are. I wish I had known about the potential for liver problems. I don't think I would have been so casual about it if I had known. Hopefully, things will improve for you!
I've had a mix of side effects too. I get constipation and headaches a lot, but my doctor recommended taking a stool softener and it helped. You just have to find what works for you. Keeping a journal of side effects and what helps can be really useful.
I've got some good news for you. The doctors told me the side effects will get better after a few doses. If your body can adapt, the side effects will get milder over time.
It's so important to stay positive and keep communicating with your healthcare team. They can help manage side effects and tweak your treatment as needed. You're definitely not alone in this fight!
In the past my medication was switched to Bortezomib after progressing through several lines of therapy with disappointing results. I think it worked but the side effects were tough. I ended up going through a fair bit of peripheral neuropathy after the first few rounds. I got through it, but it was rough.
