My experience with Bortezomib 3.5mg/1.4ml Inj for multiple myeloma: side effects and coping strategies
I've been on Bortezomib for a few months now to treat my multiple myeloma, and I wanted to share my experience with the side effects and how I've been coping. Initially, I was really nervous about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones. I've been lucky to not experience any of the severe side effects like allergic reactions or neurological symptoms, but I have had some of the other possible side effects like diarrhea, stomach pain, and feeling dizzy. Does anyone else have similar experiences? How did you manage these side effects?

I found that acupuncture helped me manage the side effects. It's worth looking into if you're struggling.
I've been on this as well, but I've had a constant headache that just won't go away. I've tried everything, but it's still there. I'm starting to worry about it. Are there other suggestions for headaches?
I'm really sorry to hear that. It's a tough decision, but sometimes it's necessary for our well-being. I've had to adjust my dosage a few times to manage the side effects better. It's all about finding what works for you.
Glad to hear you haven't had the severe side effects. I've been on Bortezomib for a year now, and the side effects have actually lessened over time. I found that staying hydrated helped with the dizziness.
I had to stop Bortezomib because of the side effects. It was just too much for me to handle. Has anyone else had to stop treatment due to side effects?
I had similar side effects at first. My doctor recommended taking Imodium for the diarrhea, which helped a lot. Also, eating smaller, more frequent meals helped with the stomach pain.
My advice for fatigue is to listen to your body, rest when you need to, and don't be too hard on yourself if you can't do everything. Also, talk to your doctor! They might have suggestions or be able to adjust your meds.
My partner has been on Bortezomib for a while now, and we've found that a healthy diet and gentle exercise have helped manage some of the side effects. Just take it one day at a time!
I'm sorry to hear about the headaches. Maybe try talking to your doc like I did. I got a prescription that helped with mine. It's worth a try!
