I was excited to try Brisdelle 7.5mg Capsules to manage my hot flashes and night sweats during menopause. The doctor explained that it contains paroxetine, an SSRI typically used as an antidepressant, but in this case, it's meant to help regulate body temperature. I've been taking it for a few weeks now, and I'm not sure if it's working. Has anyone else used this medication? I'd love to hear your experiences, both good and bad. Specifically I want to hear about side effects. I've read about some potentially serious ones, but my doctor downplayed them. Should I be worried?

I took Brisdelle for a while and it really helped with my hot flashes. No serious side effects, just some dizziness in the beginning. But after a few months, I stopped taking it because of the sexual side effects. It wasn't worth it for me. But I know everyone's different!

I was on Brisdelle, but my doctor switched me to something else because I was having issues with bleeding. I had some unexplained bruises and nosebleeds, I have to be careful with meds. I'm glad I didn't push it and just did what the doc said.

I've read that you should avoid alcohol while taking Brisdelle. Has anyone else been told this? I'm not sure if it's true, but I figure it's better to be safe.

I've been on this for about three months, and it's been fine. No side effects, hot flashes are manageable. Don't know what everyone is talking about. I've seen it all from this group. Seriously? No hot flashes? I think it's working.

I've heard horror stories about the sexual side effects. Has anyone had issues with that? I'm terrified of losing my libido forever.

Be careful with this stuff. I tried it and ended up with a serious allergic reaction. Swelling in the throat, all that fun stuff. Went to the ER and they told me to never take it again.

I've been on Brisdelle for about 6 months now, and it's been a game-changer for my hot flashes. I had some initial dizziness and nausea, but that went away after a few weeks. I've also noticed some weight gain, but my doctor said that's not typically associated with Brisdelle. I did some research and found that it can cause serotonin syndrome, which is a big no-no. I'm definitely going to bring this up with my doctor at my next appointment. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this or has more info.

I've been on Brisdelle for a couple of months now, and it's been a mixed bag. I've had some headache and fatigue, and the sexual side effects are annoying, but the hot flashes have definitely decreased. But, I've started getting some strange burning sensations in my feet. Anyone else experience anything like that? I'm not sure what to make of it, but it's definitely concerning.
