I was prescribed Bupropion 75mg to help me quit smoking. I've been on it for about 2 months now, and it's been a mixed bag. On one hand, my cravings have significantly decreased, which has been a huge help. However, I've experienced some side effects that I wasn't expecting. The most notable ones have been trouble sleeping, strange dreams, and a bit of dizziness. My doctor assured me these are common and should subside over time, but it's been a bit challenging. I've also noticed some weight loss, which isn't a bad thing at all, but I want to make sure it's not due to any underlying issues. I'm curious if anyone else has had similar experiences or insight into these side effects? I've been reading that it's less likely to cause weight gain or sexual side effects which is a relief.

I really wanted to quit smoking but finally gave up. I was a smoker for 20 years and thought the bupropion would really help but it didn't. I'm not sure it's really magic like everyone says. I didn't quit and I didn't gain weight. I didn't have vivid dreams. Bupropion didn't do what I wanted it to do. Oh well.

I had some really vivid dreams when I first started taking Bupropion. It was so weird, felt like I was on an episode of the twilight zone, and my doc told me this happens in about 20% of people. It took me a while to get used to it, but it's not as bad as I thought it might be. The benefits are worth it.

I've been on Bupropion for a few years now for depression, and I've noticed that the side effects do tend to diminish over time. Stick with it, and it might get better!

If you're experiencing any of the severe side effects listed, please go to the ER or call your doctor immediately! Those things can get pretty bad.

I experienced some pretty intense dreams when I first started taking it but got tired of them. In my sleep, I was often ravenously hungry and ate a lot but never gained weight. My weight was up and down for the first month but went back to baseline. It took me a while but eventually I felt physically and emotionally great. My doctor strongly feels that my mood is much more stable. I feel so much better than I did before the bupropion. I've heard others say the same thing as well. It's really helped me out.

Bupropion was a game-changer for me. It helped me quit smoking, and I didn't gain any weight like I did with other antidepressants.

I don't know whether I agree with your post. I've heard from some friends that Bupropion can cause a lot of side effects and so they stopped taking it becasue it was just too hard. Are you sure you aren't just a poster for the drug company? What does your doctor say?

So, I had to switch to Bupropion after my doctor warned me that some other antidepressants are more likely to cause weight gain and sexual side effects. I've been on it for a month, and so far, no issues with either of these.
