Hello Reddit, I’ve been prescribed Caplyta 42mg Capsules for my bipolar depression. I’ve heard mixed reviews about it, so I wanted to share my experience and see if anyone else has been on this medication. So far, I’ve noticed some improvements in my mood and thoughts, but I’m a bit worried about the side effects. Has anyone else experienced any severe side effects? How did you manage them? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Caplyta has been a lifesaver for me. I've been on it for a few months and my depressive episodes have significantly decreased. The dizziness was a bit tough at first, but it subsided after a couple of weeks. Just make sure to take it with food as prescribed.

Just a heads up, I found that taking Caplyta with a high-protein meal helped reduce the dizziness for me. Might be worth a try if you're experiencing that.

It's so important to stick to the prescribed dosage and take it with food. I made the mistake of skipping a meal once and had a awful headache and dizziness all day. Lesson learned!

I just started Caplyta and I'm already feeling a bit drowsy. Is this normal? Should I be worried?

I switched to Caplyta from another medication because of severe side effects. The transition was rough at first, but it's been smoother than I expected. My doctor warned me about the potential for high blood sugar, so I’m monitoring it closely. Side effects can be tricky, but communication with your doctor is key.

The only side effect I've really noticed is weight gain, which is not fun. I’ve been trying to manage it through diet and exercise. Otherwise, the medication has been really helpful for my bipolar depression.

Caplyta saved my life. I was at a dark place and this medication has given me a new lease on life. A friend of mine had a bad experience, but I think it’s worth trying if you’re desperate. Just stay in touch with your doctor and monitor your symptoms closely. And don’t ignore the less severe side effects, they can be a sign of something more serious.

Aren't the side effects terrifying? I've heard horror stories about some of the severe ones. I might stick to my current meds.

I’ve been on Caplyta for a while now and the improvements in my mood and behavior are pretty amazing. It's not a miracle drug, but it's made a world of difference. Just be mindful of the side effects and keep your doctor in the loop.
