I've been prescribed Cardizem SR 60mg Capsules (Diltiazem) to manage my high blood pressure and irregular heart rhythms. The doctor said it would help relax my blood vessels and slow down my heart rate. However, I've been experiencing some side effects like dizziness and fatigue. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or if there are ways to mitigate these side effects without compromising the drug's effectiveness. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I switched to a lower dose and it made a big difference. I still get a bit of fatigue, but it's manageable. Just make sure to talk to your doctor before making any changes.

Has anyone else noticed any skin reactions? I’ve been breaking out in hives and it’s really frustrating. Is this a common side effect or something I should talk to my doctor about?

Do you know if there's a generic version of Cardizem? My insurance barely covers the brand name, and I'm getting hit with a huge bill

I've been taking it for years and never had any issues. I know everyone is different, but it's been a game-changer for me. The key is to stay in touch with your doctor and report any issues right away.

Just remember, side effects can vary widely from person to person, and sometimes it's worth trying a different form of medication. For instance, there are different types of calcium channel blockers that might work better for you.
