I recently started taking Cometriq 100mg Kit for my medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) and have been experiencing some side effects. I was hoping to hear from others who have taken this medication and their experiences. Cometriq is supposed to slow down the growth of cancer cells by blocking certain proteins, but the list of possible side effects is quite long and varied. I've had some mild issues like fatigue and dizziness, but I'm worried about the more serious side effects. I'm following my doctor's orders and monitoring closely, but I'd appreciate any tips or advice from others who have been through this. Has anyone else had issues with dehydration or electrolyte problems? How did you manage them?

I'm curious if anyone has had changes in their hair color? I've heard it's a side effect of Cometriq. My doctor says it can be a cause for concern, but I don't know why. My mom's hair is a different color now, but she is holding up well otherwise.

I've had the same problem as you - difficulty walking. Turns out I had some nerve damage from the treatment. The good news is that I had a procedure to correct that, and it resolved the issue. So serious side effects can be managed, but it's important to stay in close contact with your doctor.

I've been on Cometriq for about six months now. The fatigue and dizziness are definitely real, but I've found that staying hydrated and eating small, frequent meals helps a lot. I also started doing some light exercise, like walking, which has improved my energy levels. Just make sure to check with your doctor before starting any new regimen.

I've found that taking Cometriq has really helped with my appetite. I've lost some weight, but I'm eating more regularly now. Just make sure to talk to your doctor about any changes in your diet.

I had mouth sores for the first time. It is uncomfortable, but I read online that salt water rinses help and they really do. I'm surprised that isn't listed as a common side effect.

I had a really bad reaction to Cometriq. I had severe dehydration and I couldn't walk a straight line. I ended up in the hospital for a couple of days. The doctors had to stop the treatment. I wish there was a screening process to determine who can take it.
