My experience with DexPak 6 Day Pak - possible side effects?
I was prescribed Dexpak 6 Day Pak for an allergic reaction. It's been a couple of days, and I'm not sure if some symptoms I'm experiencing are side effects. Anyone else take this medication? How was your experience?

Dexpak 6 Day Pak helped me immensely with my skin issues, but I gained some weight and had a bit of trouble sleeping. It was worth it for the relief I got from my skin problems. I tried the food suggestion, didn't help me.
I had some skin changes which were pretty scary at first. I'd definitely discuss any concerning symptoms with your doctor.
I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster while on Dexpak. I could of been on one of these anyway based on what I went through. I didn't know if the medication caused it or what I was going through caused the emotional roller coaster.
I had a weird taste in my mouth the entire time I was on this. It was pretty unpleasant. But other than that, I was fine.
I took Dexpak 6 Day Pak last year for an asthma flare-up. I had some trouble sleeping and a bit of restlessness, but nothing too bad. I got a bit of a headache but I don't believe it was from the medication. Stay hydrated and try taking it with food, it might help.
This is a strong medication, so I'd definitely pay attention to any serious side effects mentioned in the leaflet. If you're unsure, call your doctor. Better safe than sorry.
Be prepared for some mood swings too. I was a bit more irritable than usual while on this medication. It could of been the lack of sleep.
Why do steroids always make me want to eat? I could not figure out what I wanted to eat and I was eating 24/7.
I didn't experience any serious side effects, but I did have some dizziness. It was manageable, though. Just want to say, take deep breaths and remember that most drug effects don't last long.
