I've been diagnosed with MS for a couple of years now and was prescribed Dimethyl Fumarate DR 120mg capsules. It's been a mixed bag so far. The drug seems to be effective in reducing the frequency of my flare-ups, but the side effects have been a real struggle. I experience flushing almost every time I take it, which is embarrassing at times. Some days, the flushing can also leave my skin feeling itchy and irritated. I've also been dealing with quite a bit of stomach discomfort and diarrhea, which can be challenging to manage. On top of that, I've gotten a few colds and the possibility of any other severe side effect scares me. For reference, my doctor had warned me these symptoms could happen, but it's still hard to deal with. Have any of you been on this medication? I'd like to hear about your experiences and how you've managed any side effects.

My doctor advised me to slowly increase my dose of Dimethyl Fumarate over a few weeks to help minimize the side effects. It definitely made a difference for me, especially with the flushing and stomach issues. I think we have all experienced all the other possible side effects so please stay tuned to your body.

I’ve been on this medication for about six months and have experienced the flushing, stomach issues and diarrhea. Just make sure to stay in close contact with your doctor and discuss all of your side effects. It's worth it to give yourself time to adjust to the medication, but if it gets too overwhelming, have an open conversation with your medical team

Dude, I just started taking these and I feel like I'm burning up every time I take one. Is this normal?

Dark urine has been my wake-up call. I'm so glad I pay attention to my body' warning signs. So yeah, listen to your body and do not ignore the key symptoms mentioned in the description. The potential side effects are serious and life-threatening. The sooner you act the better.

For anyone dealing with the flushing, try dressing in layers. I found that it helps me manage the heat and redness a bit better. Also, make sure to stay hydrated and avoid triggers that make it worse, like hot showers or spicy food. It's not perfect but helps.
