I was prescribed Doryx 150mg DR Tablets for a severe case of acne. I had used a variety of topical treatments and oral antibiotics, but nothing seemed to work. My dermatologist recommended Doryx, so I gave it a shot. Within a few weeks, I noticed a significant improvement. However, I did experience some side effects. The most bothersome were the upset stomach and diarrhea, which were manageable with some over-the-counter meds. I also had some dizziness, which made it difficult to drive at first. My advice to anyone taking this medication is to stay hydrated and to eat smaller, more frequent meals to minimize stomach discomfort. I also suggest avoiding direct sunlight, as Doryx can make your skin more sensitive to UV rays. If you experience any of the severe side effects, such as a rash or difficulty breathing, get to a doctor right away. I'm grateful that Doryx worked for me, but I also want to stress the importance of understanding the potential downsides before starting this medication.

I took this for a UTI and the side effects were totally worth it. I felt better in no time. Definitely talk to your doctor first though. Everyone reacts differently.

Doryx started giving me some digestive issues. Initially, it was a bit hard to handle, but I adjusted my diet and drink loads of water. I think it helped. I haven't had any serious problems yet. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

I heard this medication can cause sun sensitivity. Is this true?

This sounds rough 😬. Make sure to finish your course of antibiotics. Don't stop taking them just because you feel better! This can make your infections worse.

Great post. I've had a similar experience with Doryx. It worked wonders on my rosacea, but I also had issues with stomach upset. I found that taking it with food helped a lot. How long did you take Doryx for?
