I've recently been prescribed Emla Cream for some minor skin surgeries. It's supposed to reduce pain and discomfort with it's two numbing medicines, lidocaine and prilocaine. The possible side effects list is long, including some really scary ones like allergic reactions and methemoglobinemia. I applied the cream as directed, but I'm feeling worried about the side effects. Has anyone else used this cream? What was your experience? And if you did experience any of the side effects, how did you deal with them? I'd really appreciate some real-life insights.

Is it normal to feel a bit dizzy after using Emla? I had this weird sensation when I used it for my tattoo touch-ups. I'm a bit worried about it.

I had a really bad experience with Emla cream, I developed a rash and had to stop using it. I would say give it a try but if you have sensitive skin definitely consult with a doctor first

I used Emla Cream for a minor skin surgery and it worked wonders. However, I noticed some unusual changes in temperature sensation afterwards. It was weird but I was assured by the doctor that this doesn't happen often, and I was fine afterwards. Anyways, I find the burning sensation when applying it to be a bit harsh, so I try to avoid it.

I had a really bad reaction to Emla Cream. I got a severe headache and felt extremely weak. I had to stop using it immediately. The cream is supposed to help reduce pain and discomfort, but it was a nightmare for me. I would say talk to a doctor before using it.

This stuff is a game-changer for needle sticks! I use it all the time for my diabetes and it makes it much more tolerable. Just be sure to apply it at least 30 minutes before the procedure for the best results.
