My experience with Erygel 2% Gel for acne: Is this effective and safe topical antibiotic gel?
I've been using Erygel 2% Gel for about a month now to treat my acne, and I've noticed some improvements. However, I'm a bit concerned about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones mentioned in the leaflet. Has anyone else had any issues or should I just press on with my routine? I'm curious to hear from others who have used it.

Just want to throw this out there: I asked my dermatologist about Erygel and he said it's one of the stronger topicals out there. I think it's worth the try, but be aware of the side effects.
I find Erygel really effective, but I had to be careful with my skin routine. I noticed that using it with my regular moisturizer caused more dryness. I had to switch to a gentler moisturizer. Good luck, everyone! Maybe try a different moisturizer if you have side effects.
This is the best acne treatment I've ever used, but definitely wash your hands after applying it. You don't want to spread any bacteria accidentally.
I’ve used it before and it helped a lot, but had to stop because of the itching and dryness. Not worth it for me. But it's great that it's working for you, hopefully it continues to work.
I had to stop using Erygel because I developed a rash. It was nerve-wracking, I knew I needed to stop when I noticed the rash on my face.
I had to stop because I got acute allergic reaction. The most annoying part was the pain, I didn't know if it was worth the risk. Honestly, I'd rather stick to gentler methods.
Just tried it today and my skin feels kind of weird. Is it supposed to be a bit tingly? I hope it starts working soon. Anyway, I'll wait and see.
I've been using Erygel for a few months now. At first, I had some skin irritation but it went away after a couple of weeks. It's important to apply a thin layer and let it absorb completely before applying moisturizer. Plus, make sure to patch test it before using it on your face. My acne has significantly improved since I started using it! But everyone's skin is different, so results may vary.
I started using Erygel a few weeks ago and it has been a game-changer for my acne. I apply it twice a day, as suggested, and my skin is definitely clearer. I haven’t experienced any severe side effects so far, just a bit of dryness but its not too bad.
I'm trying to find a new acne treatment. I always get scared when I read about the severe side effects and it stops me from trying. I'll probably just stick to my regular salicylic acid routine, it's gentle and effective for me so far.
