My experience with Exemestane 25mg Tablets for Breast Cancer Treatment
I was recently prescribed Exemestane 25mg tablets to treat Stage 2 breast cancer. I have gone through menopause, and my doctor explained that this medication would lower the estrogen levels in my body, hopefully stopping the cancer's growth. Has anyone else taken this? If so, what were your experiences? The possible side effects list is extensive, and I'm worried about what I might have to deal with. If you have any tips or advice, please share. Even if your experience is negative, I would still love to know what I'm getting into

I agree, the side effects can be pretty harsh. I experienced some pretty bad joint pain and muscle aches. But I think it's worth it if it helps with the cancer.
I had some really bad headaches and vomiting in the beginning, but it got better after a few weeks. I also found that keeping my estrogen levels monitored regularly was helpful for me. Also, make sure you talk to your doctor about bone health, as this medication can increase the risk of fractures.
Just wanted to add that it's really important to report any severe side effects to your doctor right away. I had some chest pain and changes in eyesight, and it turned out to be a sign of increased blood pressure.
I had some terrible stomach issues and nausea while taking this medication. I wish I had known about the potential for it, so I could have prepared.
I was really worried about the possible side effects, but I've been mostly fine. I have had some trouble sleeping, but it's not too bad. I've also lost a bit of hair, but my doctor said it's not uncommon. Make sure to track your symptoms and stay in touch with your doctor.
