I was recently prescribed Flavoxate 100mg to help with frequent urination and urgency. I've been taking it for about a month now, and while it seems to be doing its job, I've experienced some side effects that have me a bit concerned. I've noticed some dizziness and a bit of confusion, and yesterday, I had throat tightness which scared me. Of course I called my doctor. I wanted to hear from others who might have gone through similar experiences—has anyone else had these issues? Are there any tips for managing the side effects, or should I be worrying about the throat tightness? I've heard it can be serious, but I don't think it was actually an emergency. I'll keep using it as long as my doctor says it's OK. Do any of you have other bladder issues? I'm wondering if I should explore other options as well.

If you're experiencing throat tightness, that could be serious. I've heard that can be a sign of a bad allergic reaction. Please get that checked out.

I've had great results with Flavoxate. I had a few headaches at first, but they stopped after a week. It really helps with the urge. Just make sure to stay hydrated and listen to your body. If something feels off, talk to your doctor.

Don't let the side effects scare you off. It's worth it if your symptoms are bad. I've had no side effects, except for a dry mouth. No big deal.

I had to stop taking it because of the headaches. It was worth it, but I can't do it anymore. I want to try something else

I had to stop taking Flavoxate because of the severe dizziness and blurred vision. It was unbearable, so I switched to a different medication. You might want to talk to your doctor about alternatives if the side effects are too much to handle.

Don't take it at night. I got really sleepy and dizzy. I fell a couple of times. I switched to the morning and that helped.

I've just started taking it, and I feel like my eyesight is a bit blurry at times. Anyone else? Should I be worried? I'm going to keep an eye on it and call my doctor in a couple of days.

I take Flavoxate and have had no issues. I think it's worth it to manage the symptoms. I had a really bad bladder infection and it was great. Be careful and talk to your doctor.

I had a really bad reaction to it. I ended up in the hospital for an allergic reaction. I was in anaphylaxis. I had hives and felt like I couldn't breathe. Definitely talk to your doctor if you experience anything like that. It was terrifying.

I've been on Flavoxate for a while and have had some similar side effects. I usually get a bit dizzy in the morning but it goes away. Try taking it with some food and lots of water. Do you have insurance? Maybe ask about a different medication. As long as you tell your doctor what you're experiencing, you'll be fine. Your doctor knows best.
