I've been on Flolan (Epoprostenol) 0.5mg Injection for my pulmonary hypertension for about 6 months now. It's been a game-changer for my energy levels and breathing, but it's not without its challenges. The continuous IV can be a hassle, and the side effects can be tough to deal with. I've experienced some of the more common ones like headache, flushing, and jaw pain, but nothing too severe so far. I'm just grateful that it's helping my heart do its job better. Wanted to start this thread to share my experience and hear from others who might be on this medication. What's your experience been like? Any tips for managing side effects or dealing with the IV? Let's help each other out!

The IV can be a pain, but it's worth it for the improvement in my symptoms. I've found that using a comfortable chair and a good movie makes the infusions go by faster.

I've had a good experience with Flolan overall. My only complaint is the cost. It's insane! Hopefully, insurance will cover more of it soon.

I've been on Flolan for a few years now, and it's made a huge difference in my quality of life. The side effects can be tough, but they're manageable. I've found that staying hydrated and resting when I need to helps a lot. Stay strong!

I've had some scary episodes with shortness of breath and chest pain. Turns out it was a reaction to a new batch of the medication. Always trust your instincts and get checked out if something feels wrong.

I've been on Flolan for a year. I've only had some mild side effects, but I'm constantly worried about the serious ones. It's a lot to handle emotionally. Any tips for managing the anxiety?

I started Flolan a few months ago and have had trouble with the injection site. Does anyone have any tips for preventing irritation or infection?

I've had some weird side effects not on the list, like intense dreams. Has anyone else experienced anything unusual?

This is my first week on Flolan. I'm already feeling better but nervous about these serious side effects. I need to deal with a severe allergic reaction or infection. Any words of encouragement?

I feel like the side effects are worth it for the improvement in my breathing. I've also noticed that keeping the room temperature cool helps with the flushing. Anyone else notice this?
