I've been using Flutic/vilan 200-25mcg Oral Inh(30) for a few weeks now, and while it has helped with my asthma symptoms, I've been experiencing some side effects that are concerning me. Has anyone else had issues with side effects from this medication? I've been getting a lot of throat irritation and mouth sores, which is making it hard to eat and drink. I've also noticed some bone pain, which is a bit alarming. I've tried to manage these symptoms with gargling salt water and using a different brand of toothpaste, but I'm still feeling uncomfortable. I'm not sure if I should stick it out or talk to my doctor about switching medications. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

This is a popular medicine, and I've heard that there are some brands that are more effective and less irritating than others. Maybe you should give a different brand a try.

Side effects can be tough, but sometimes it's a matter of finding the right balance. Make sure you're using the inhaler correctly—a lot of people don't realize there's a technique to it. If you're still having issues, definitely talk to your doctor about adjusting the dosage or trying something else. I've been on this for six months, and no issues so far.

I've been on this medication for a year now, and I haven't had any major side effects. I do get the occasional headache, but it's manageable. How long did it take for you to notice the side effects?

I have the same inhaler, and I haven't had any issues at all. I just hope my insurance covers the refills forever.

Flutic/vilan has been a game-changer for my asthma. I used to have daily symptoms, but since I started using this inhaler, I've had maybe one or two bad days in the last six months. Definitely worth talking to your doctor about sticking it out if the benefits are there.

I was just prescribed this inhaler and I'm really nervous about the side effects. I've had asthma all my life, and I've never had this issue before. Hope it goes well!

I had the same issue with mouth sores. My doctor suggested using a spacer with the inhaler to reduce the amount of medication that comes into contact with your mouth. Might be worth a shot!

Gotta love the throat irritation. My doctor said it's normal, but it's not fun. I found that drinking plenty of water helps a lot. You might want to try that, too.

Bone pain is a known side effect, but it's not super common. If it's really bothering you, you might want to ask your doctor about other options. I've heard good things about Symbicort as well.
