I was prescribed Fulvestrant 250mg/5ml Inj, 2x5ml as part of my breast cancer treatment and I'm curious to hear from others who have used it. Has anyone else experienced significant side effects, and if so, how did you manage them? I've had some hot flashes and joint pain, but I'm hoping to hear from others to see if this is normal. Also, what are some strategies for dealing with these side effects? Do any of you have a good routine for managing pain and discomfort? What should I be looking out for in terms of more serious side effects?

I've heard some people have issues with depression on this medication. Make sure to monitor your mood and talk to your doctor if you notice any changes.

I've been on Fulvestrant for about six months now. The hot flashes were intense at first, but they've settled down a bit. I found that dressing in layers really helped. Also, I've been using a heating pad for the joint pain and it's made a big difference. Just be careful not to fall asleep with it on, as I did once! Also make sure to get the pain you may feel evaluated to make sure it's not nerve pain is a very real side effect from the medication.

I had some pretty severe anxiety at the start, but my doctor helped me manage it with some additional medication. It's important to be open with your healthcare provider about these symptoms.

Fulvestrant was a lifesaver for me. I had some initial pain at the injection site, but my nurse showed me how to apply ice afterward, which really helped. Also, make sure to take it easy for a few hours after the injection and stay hydrated.

Anyone else having trouble with constipation? I've been dealing with it for a while now. It's super uncomfortable and I wanted to reach out and see if anyone else has had this happen to them. I'm thinking about trying some over-the-counter remedies, but I wanted to check here first to see if that was safe.

I've had some weird mouth sores. The doctor gave me some stuff to help with that, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on. Also, I felt really nauseous for a few days after my inital dose. I figure that's not a bad price to pay for the good stuff it's doing inside me. Maybe I'll talk to them about that too.

Be careful with this stuff. I had some really bad nerve pain in my legs after a few weeks. Went to the ER and they said it was from the injections. Now I make sure to tell my doc about any new pain immediately.
