I was recently prescribed Gentamicin/nacl 100mg Inj, 50ml for a serious bacterial infection. My doctor explained that it's a powerful antibiotic given by injection, but it can affect your kidneys and hearing. I've been closely monitored with blood tests and hearing checks. I've noticed some mild side effects like headaches and upset stomach, but nothing too severe yet. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'd love some tips on managing the side effects or any advice on what to expect moving forward, since gentamicin can be so serious.

Gentamicin saved my life, but I wish I'd known about the hearing problems earlier. Looking back, I wish I had pressed my doctor more about that risk.

I had dizziness the first time, but got used to it after. Keep a water bottle handy! Hydration is key when in trouble.

You can do it! Just remember to report any side effects to your doctor ASAP.

This stuff is intense. I got some serious stomach issues. My advice: ask your doctor about anti-nausea meds if you feel too queasy.

I've heard this drug is super effective against certain infections, but you have to be really careful with the dosage and monitoring. I had a friend who ended Up getting a kidney infection.

I was worried about the hearing loss side effects, but my doctor reassured me that it's rare. Still, I got regular hearing tests just in case.

I had a reaction to Gentamicin too. It was terrible. I got a really bad rash and my face swelled up. I had to stop taking it and it was a nightmare.

I had a bad reaction. My lips swelled up and I couldn't breathe. Worst part was waiting for the ambulance.

Yeah, the side effects are no joke. I had trouble with muscle weakness and some vision changes, but honestly nothing I couldn't handle. Stay hydrated and keep your doctor in the loop.

I had to take Gentamicin for a severe infection a few years back. The first few days were rough with dizziness and ringing in my ears, but it did the trick against the infection. My doctor kept a close eye on my kidneys, and I had regular blood tests. It's tough, but it works.
