I've been prescribed Gleostine 40mg capsules for my brain tumor treatment. It's a bit daunting knowing the possible side effects, especially the serious ones. Has anyone else taken these capsules? I'm curious about your experiences and any tips you might have. The Gleeostine is taken once every six weeks, which is good because the side effects can be rough. The capsule itself is easy to swallow, but the real challenge is dealing with the nausea and hair loss. Has anyone found a good way to manage these side effects? I'd love to hear any advice or tips from others who have been through this.

I think the rare kidney issues are the hardest part. I had to stop drinking coffee and had to eat a lot of fruits. Not too bad.

I've been on Gleostine for a few months now, and honestly, the nausea is the worst part. I've found that eating small, frequent meals and staying hydrated helps a lot. Also, ginger tea has been a lifesaver. And yeah, the hair loss... 😞

Why isnt anyone talking about the loss of vision? I thought that was a really scary side effect, and it's not been mentioned in the post...

I lost a significant amount of blood for a few weeks. The doctors had no idea why, so I had to stop the treatment and I'm currently on a different medication. So it can be really unpredictable.

I have to take Gleostine once every six weeks. It's a strange feeling to know that I'm flooding my body with chemicals to kill cancer, but it's a necessary evil. I just hope it works!

I think it's a bit concerning that so many serious side effects occur with Gleostine. Why are we still using it? That said, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour, and it wasn't an alternative. There are probably a lot of people who have no other choice.

This is a tough one. I'd recommend talking to an oncologist about your specific case to see if alternative treatments are available. The side effects are no joke.

Gleostine is tough, but it's working for me. I've had some hair loss and mouth sores, but nothing I can't handle. Just take it easy and listen to your body. Make sure to tell your doctor about any side effects, though. It can feel like a lot at first. But I think the benefits outweigh the downsides.

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo for hair loss? It's been tough, and my scalp feels raw.

I had a severe allergic reaction to Gleostine. It was terrifying—my throat swelled up, and I could barely breathe. Thankfully, I got to the hospital in time. If you experience any of those symptoms, get help immediately.
