So, I was prescribed Griseofulvin Micr 500mg Tablets for a nasty fungal infection on my skin and nails. I've been taking them for about a month now, and while they seem to be working, the side effects have been a bit wild. I've had some pretty bad headaches and felt super tired all the time. The instructions said to take it for the full prescribed time even if symptoms improve, so I'm sticking it out. Has anyone else had a similar experience with this medication? The potential side effects list is pretty scary, so I'm glad I'm not experiencing any of the really bad ones like swelling or trouble breathing. But still, it's been a bit rough. I just wish I knew how long I would need to take them and if there are any other meds to be aware of while on it.

I'm on my third round of Griseofulvin, I've had a weird tingling sensation in my fingers for a few weeks now. I'm not sure if it's related, but it's definitely unsettling. I've been reading up on the side effects and it seems I could have Stevens-Johnson syndrome, but I don't have the other symptoms so I'm hoping it's just a coincidence. Has anyone else dealt with this?

I had to take Griseofulvin for a fungal nail infection and I can totally relate to the headaches and fatigue. It was a rough few weeks, but it cleared up the infection. I recommend giving it a bit of time and just being patient with the side effects, but keep an eye out for those really bad ones like allergic reactions.

I found that taking Griseofulvin with food helped a lot with the stomach issues. It really made a difference for me.

Was prescribed this for a skin infection. I experienced some pretty severe stomach pain and vomiting within the first few days. Called my doctor right away and was told to stop taking it. Ends up I had a bad reaction to something in the medication, so I was switched to something else. Be careful folks, and listen to your body. If something feels too off, get help.

Not an easy ride, but it worked for me in the end. Gotta love modern medicine, even when it's a bit rough.

I've had no side effects at all so far. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
