I have been on Haloperidol 5mg for a couple of months now, and I wanted to share my experience. I was initially prescribed this medication to manage my schizophrenia symptoms, and it has been a rollercoaster ride. At first, I struggled with severe side effects like drooling and extreme fatigue. However, my Psychiatrist adjusted the dosage, and things improved. My thoughts are much clearer, and I feel more balanced overall. But I still deal with occasional anxiety and restlessness. I'm curious to know if anyone else has had similar experiences or has any tips for managing these side effects. Also, I’m concerned about the serious side effects listed. Has anyone else experienced anything alarming?

I’ve had some tough experiences with Haloperidol, but it hasn’t been all bad. I've found that taking it at night helps with the grogginess the next day. I also take extra precautions with the sun and avoid heat exposure, as I've heard some people experience sensitivity to the sunlight.

I am taking Haloperidol for Tourette's syndrome. It’s been a bit of a journey, but the benefits outweigh the downsides. I also take precautions to avoid harmful side effects. My doctor told me it also helps with OCD!

I've been on it for a couple of months. Overall, I'd say it's made a big difference to my daily life. I've noticed some minor side effects, but nothing I can't handle. Just remember, everyone's experience is different, and it's important to stay in close contact with your doctor. I should also call my doctor and ask about the chance of getting blood tests.

I totally get that. The first time I took this medication, I could barely stay awake. It was rough, but I stuck with it because it really did improve my mood and behavior.

Just remember, everyone's experience is different. My brother was on Haloperidol and didn't have any major issues. But I guess your mileage may vary. How long have you been on the medication anyway?

I keep a journal of my side effects and symptoms to bring to my psychiatrist. It helps with getting the right dosage and minimizes the side effects. In fact, my doctor recommended quitting alcohol and caffeine before starting. Also, have you quizzed anyone else about it?
