I've been dealing with hemorrhoids for a while now, and my doctor prescribed Hemmorex-HC 25mg Rectal Suppositories. I've been using them for about a week, and I wanted to share my experience and see if anyone else has tried these. The suppositories are supposed to reduce swelling, itching, and discomfort, but I'm still not sure if they're working for me. The instructions say to use them twice a day, but I'm wondering if that's too much. Has anyone had any serious side effects like severe rectal bleeding or pain? I'm also curious if anyone has any tips for making the application process more comfortable. I feel a bit embarrassed to even be using these, but I know I need to deal with this issue. Does anyone else feel the same way, or is it just me?

I've been using Hydrocortisone rectal suppositories for a month and the hemorrhoids is almost gone. But I have noticed some tingling and dryness in the area, which can be a bit uncomfortable. I don't think it's anything serious, but I'll definitely mention it to my doctor at my next appointment. If it gets worse, I might try a different treatment, but so far, it's been worth it. Although, I can't stress this enough, the worst part is the way you have to insert them.

Pretty sure I've seen those side effects for this drug on tv. My doctor told me to not take it if I was pregnant or nursing, not sure if you are?

I've had hemorrhoids for years, these suppositories were a godsend. Did make my hemorrhoids shrink noticeably and the burning sensation is gone. Definitely talk to your doctor if you have any concerns. There is nothing to be embarrassed about, your doctor has seen it all before. My doctor also reminded me to drink plenty of fluids and eat high-fiber foods to help prevent future flare-ups. I can't believe how much better I feel!

Ugh, I wish there was a more pleasant way to deal with this. I'm dreading the next time I have to use one of these things. I feel you on the embarrassment. Maybe try using them at night when you're already in bed and can just relax. That's what I do, and it makes it a lot easier. Have you tried other treatments in the past?
