I recently underwent a procedure that required the use of Lactated Ringers Injection (250ml). This IV fluid helped replace water and essential salts like sodium, potassium, calcium, and chloride in my body, which was crucial for maintaining my fluid balance during surgery. However, I'm curious to hear from others who have used this fluid. Did anyone experience any of the serious side effects mentioned, such as allergic reactions or fluid and electrolyte problems? I had some irritation at the injection site but nothing severe. What should I expect if I need this treatment again?

Lactated Ringers is a lifesaver for dehydration, but it's not for everyone. Make sure to discuss with your doctor if you have any underlying conditions like heart or kidney issues.

This stuff is great for maintaining fluid balance during surgery. I had to use it after a car accident, and it really helped stabilise me while waiting for serious treatment.

I had a similar experience with Lactated Ringers. I didn't have any serious side effects, but the injection site was a bit sore for a couple of days. My doctor said that's normal and it went away on its own.

I had Lactated Ringers during a surgery and ended up with a really bad rash. Had to stop the treatment and switch to something else. Be careful if you have sensitive skin!

I feel like I’ve gotten Lactated Ringers every time I'm in the hospital and I've never had any issues. I actually find it kind of soothing, like a warm IV hug.

I've never heard of anyone getting a rash from this stuff. Maybe you're allergic to something else? I'm thinking it might be the tubing or something else in the IV setup.
