I've been using Levothyroxine 100mcg/5ml injections for the past few months after being diagnosed with hypothyroidism. My doctor recommended this injection form because I was having trouble taking the medicine orally. I've had some side effects, mostly mild ones like feeling tired and changes in appetite. Has anyone else experienced serious side effects like allergic reactions or sudden weight gain? I want to know what to watch out for. Also, any tips on managing the side effects would be greatly appreciated!

I got lucky and didn't have any side effects. I'm just glad my thyroid levels are finally regulated.

I remember when I first started injections - the needle was tiny and I didn't feel it at all. You can do this!

Sorry to hear about your struggles. I had a severe allergic reaction to Levothyroxine. It started with a rash and then I had trouble breathing. I ended up in the ER and they switched me to a different medication. Please, if you see any signs of an allergic reaction, get to a doctor ASAP.

I've been on Levothyroxine for years and had a few rough patches at the beginning. Stick with it, but definitely keep an eye out for the serious side effects. If you start feeling short of breath or have chest pain, go to the ER immediately.

My mom had problems with weight gain when she started taking Levothyroxine. She had to adjust her diet and exercise routine to manage it. It's a pain, but she feels much better now.

I didn't have any side effects, but I did feel like my hair was thinning a bit. My doctor said it was due to the medication, but it stopped after a few months.

I've had a few bouts of diarrhea and stomach cramps, but my doctor said that can happen. I try to eat smaller meals more frequently to manage it.

I felt like I was going crazy with all the mood swings and anxiety, but my doctor adjusted my dose and it got better. Hang in there!
