I recently started taking Lonsurf 20mg/8.19mg Tablets 20s as part of my treatment for advanced colon cancer. This medication is a combination of trifluridine and tipiracil, which work together to interfere with the growth of cancer cells. I've heard from other patients that it can be tough due to the side effects. So I was curious to hear about other people's experiences with it, both positive and negative. What should I expect? What side effects have others experienced? Any tips on managing the side effects would be greatly appreciated!

I'm on my 3rd round. Let me tell you, it's a rough road. The fatigue was the hardest. I could barely get out of bed some days. The good news is, I think it's working. My scans show improvement. Just take it one day at a time.

I lost a lot of my hair, but it grew back after treatment. Not fun, but worth it if it helps.

I've been on Lonsurf for a few months now, and while it's tough, it's manageable. The fatigue and diarrhea were the worst at first, but my doctor helped me adjust my diet and meds to handle it. Stick with it; it might just be what you need to fight this.

I wish I could say it's a walk in the park, but it's not. I had a bad reaction to it and had to switch to a different treatment. But for some, it works wonders. Just be prepared for some rough patches.

Lots of small meals helped with the nausea and stomach issues for me. I also found that eating bland foods was easier to handle. First few weeks were tough, but it got better.

If you're experiencing a lot of stomach pain, ask your doctor about anti-nausea medication. It made a huge difference for me. Plus, I found ginger tea to be a natural nausea reliever.

Lonsurf is a bear, but it's worth it if it gives you more time. I had a lot of issues with taste changes. Everything tasted metallic. That was rough, but I am thankful it helped fight cancer!

I never knew there were so many drugs that treat cancer.

Hang in there. It's not fun, but it's doing its job. Make sure to stay hydrated and listen to your body.
