Has anyone else had to take Macrobid 100mg Capsules for UTIs? I've been taking them for a few days and wanted to hear from others who have used this antibiotic. I've had some mild stomach issues, but nothing too bad. The biggest thing is that I have to take them with food, which can be a bit annoying when you're in a rush. I've also noticed some weird urine color changes, but I've read that's normal. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar or has some good tips for dealing with this medication. Also, what should I do if I start feeling better before finishing the prescription? Are the side effects worth it?

I got a headache every time I took Macrobid. I just took some Tylenol with it and it was fine. It was so bad at first, that I thought I would have to stop taking it. I've taken many antibiotics before, and this was one of the worst. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the medicine, but it isn't always a picnic.
I had to take Macrobid for a UTI last year, and it was a game-changer. I didn't have any major side effects, but I did stick to the prescribed dosage and food instructions. I finished the entire course as well. Be sure you finish the whole thing. Trust me, you don't want to end up back at the doctor. If you do, go for a walk. That helped me a lot, stay hydrated!

I had a strange taste in my mouth the whole time I was on Macrobid. Not sure if that's a common side effect or not, but it was pretty annoying. Did anyone else have that?
I got really bad diarrhea with Macrobid. It was awful. Had to rush to the bathroom several times a day. And I got little weird skin issues. Like a rash. It kind of looked like pox marks, but not as bad. It went away after a couple of days. I'm not sure if the diarrhea was from the pills or just coincidence. But I would be careful.
