I've been taking Mexitil 150mg capsules for a few months now to manage my ventricular arrhythmias, and I've had a mix of experiences. I was initially worried about the side effects, especially the serious ones, but I've been lucky so far and only experienced some minor issues. I usually take it with food as advised, which helps with the upset stomach. Has anyone else had a similar experience or knows more about managing these side effects? I'd love to hear your thoughts and tips.

I'm glad I found this thread. I just started Mexitil and was worried about all the possible side effects. It's good to know that others are having manageable experiences. Thanks for sharing!

Has anyone else noticed changes in eyesight while on Mexitil? I've had a few episodes of blurry vision and it's a bit worrying. I've read that it can cause changes in vision, but I wasn't sure if it would happen to me. I'm not sure if it is from the medication.

I was on Mexitil for a few months but had to discontinue due to severe dizziness and fainting spells. It was a bit scary, but my doctor was quick to switch me to another medication. It might be worth trying if you're struggling, but watch for any signs of these serious side effects.

I've been reading about the side effects and it does sound like a scary list. But hey, if it means controlling your arrhythmias, it might be worth it. How often do people actually experience the serious side effects, though? I’m curious to know how common it is.

I've been taking Mexitil for about 6 months. I did have some trouble sleeping, but nothing major. I was given it because the old medication I was taking was not working as well. I think it would help if I took it earlier in the day.

Ugh, I hate when meds make me feel 'nervous and excitable.' I couldn't stand it on Mexitil so I stopped taking it. I asked my doc about Lopressor instead, and it's been good so far.

Be aware of the signs of liver problems too. I had no idea my yellowing skin could be a side effect until I saw a few discussions here. It's scary.

I started Mexitil a year ago and it's been a game-changer for my arrhythmias. I did have some dizziness at first, but it went away after a few weeks. Just make sure to stay hydrated and don't miss any doses. Seriously, it's a lifesaver.

I've been on Mexitil for over a year now, and I can't complain too much. The only real issue I had was feeling shaky and nervous at first, but my doctor adjusted the dose and it sorted out. Just be sure to take it with food and stay in touch with your doctor.
