My experience with Morphine Sulfate 30mg IR Tablets - Tips, Side Effects, and Advice Sought
I was prescribed Morphine Sulfate 30mg Immediate Release Tablets for severe back pain, and I'm having a hard time managing the side effects. I've experienced some dizziness, constipation, and drowsiness, which are making it difficult to function normally. I'm curious to know if anyone else has had similar experiences or if there are any tips to mitigate these side effects. I'm also worried about the long-term effects, so any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried increasing your fiber intake and drinking lots of fluids for the constipation? It's a common issue with opioids.
Have you tried physical therapy or other interventions alongside the Morphine? Sometimes combining treatments can help reduce the need for high doses.
Have you talked to your doctor about adding a stool softener? It might help with the constipation. And for the dizziness, try getting up slowly from a sitting or lying position.
I had Morphine and it was a godsend for my pain but a nightmare for my bowel movements. It's a tough balance. Good luck!
Be careful with this stuff. It's not something to mess around with. If you can, try to get off it as soon as possible and switch to something less addictive.
I'm curious if anyone has experienced mood changes. I feel like I'm on an emotional rollercoaster and I'm not sure if it's the medication.
I've heard of people mixing it with coffee to help with the drowsiness. Coffee keeps them alert. Just a thought.
I've been on Morphine for a while now, and while the side effects are tough, they do get better with time. Stick with it and talk to your doctor about adjustments.
