I recently started treatment with Mutamycin 40mg Inj for cancer. The medication has been effective, but the side effects have been quite challenging. I wanted to share my experience and hear from others who have gone through similar experiences. My biggest concerns are the potential for bladder issues and skin infections from IV infusion so I'd love to hear from others who have dealt with these. How have you managed these side effects? Are there any tips or tricks that have worked well for you?

I noticed that my skin around the infusion site got really red and swollen. My nurse said it was a common reaction but it was still scary. I had to have a new IV put in frequently for safety concern during infusion

I had a really tough time with Mutamycin. The nausea and vomiting were unbearable, and I had to stop the treatment for a while. My doctor advised me to take anti-nausea medication, which helped a lot. Stay strong!

I've been on Mutamycin for a few months now. The bladder irritation is the worst! I've had to drink a lot of water and try to empty my bladder frequently, but it's still a struggle. Has anyone found a better way to manage this?

The bleeding issues are no joke. I started having nosebleeds and bruises that just wouldn't stop. I had to go to the ER a few times. Just be cautious and stay in touch with your doctor if you have to.

The hair loss was unexpected. I did not realize how much it would affect my day-to-day living. I'm glad I had some time to prepare before it started falling out. My advice is to be ready for it mentally.

I've been on this for a year. It's been rough but I feel it's working. I've had lots of support from family. Just wanted to share positive encouragement.

I've heard that Mitomycin can cause severe lung problems. I actually know someone who had to be hospitalized because of it. If you experience shortness of breath or a cough, don't wait, get to the doctor right away.
