My experience with Nalbuphine 20mg/ml for Post-Surgery Pain Management
I recently had a surgery and was prescribed Nalbuphine 20mg/ml for managing pain. I was curious about what other people had experienced with this medication, how effective it was, and any side effects they might have encountered. The literature says it can be quite effective for moderate to severe pain, but it also has a list of side effects that should be taken seriously. I received one dose pre-surgery, and as a nurse, I can tell you that it worked, but I was left with some lingering questions. Has anyone had experience with Nalbuphine? If so, how did you find it compared to other pain medications? Also, how did you deal with any side effects?

I’ve seen this used in the ER a lot. It works fast and is pretty effective for acute pain. But yeah, keep an eye on those side effects.
My mom had a rough time with it after her surgery. The sweet old lady started sweating buckets. It was pretty frightening.
Huh, I’ve never heard of Nalbuphine. I’ve only used morphine and fentanyl. I might have to ask my doctor about this one. Thanks for the thread!
I found it to be a bit too harsh for my liking. The dizziness and mood changes were pretty rough. But everyone's different – I usually just stick to ibuprofen for pain management.
I had a friend who had a serious allergic reaction to it. Hives, wheezing, the works. Scary stuff. Stick to what you know until you’re sure.
For a serious bout of kidney stones, it was a lifesaver. I was worried about the breathing difficulties but didn’t have any of those side effects.
I've used Nalbuphine a few times and it's been pretty effective for me. The side effects weren't too bad, just a bit of dizziness and some nausea, but nothing I couldn't handle. Definitely better than some other opioids I've tried.
I've had severe constipation with Nalbuphine and it was not fun. The doctor said it could be a side effect. I'll definitely be looking for alternatives next time.
I was on Nalbuphine for a few weeks after a bad car accident. It helped with the pain, but I had to switch to something else because of the severe dizziness and fainting. Be careful, folks.
Anyone else experience serotonin syndrome with this stuff? It was terrifying. I had to stop taking it immediately.
