I was prescribed Nalfon 400mg Capsules to manage my arthritis pain, and while it did help with the inflammation, the side effects were nothing short of brutal. I've heard it's an old-school NSAID, but I didn't expect the slew of issues that came with it. Anyone else have similar experiences, or am I just unlucky here? Is it worth pushing through the side effects for the relief, or should I switch meds? I've got a list of urgent and common side effects here, but what really stood out was the severe skin reactions—even the thought of it is terrifying. Has anyone else dealt with something like that, or other serious symptoms? I'd love to hear from you all on this one.

I had to stop taking Nalfon because of the high potassium levels. It was a very scary experience, and I ended up in the hospital with an abnormal heartbeat. I had no idea something like that could happen.

OMG, I had no idea Nalfon could cause such severe reactions. I've been taking it for a while now and I'm scared to think what could happen. I'll definitely be more cautious now. Thank you so much!

Do any of you know if there are good alternatives to Nalfon that work just as well without the severe side effects? I'm scared to take it now.

I've had some issues with NSAIDs before, but never anything this bad. I had no idea the side effects could be so severe. I've had some mild stomach issues, but nothing life-threatening. I've definitely been more careful with my meds now.

I had a similar experience with Nalfon. The pain relief was nice, but the stomach issues were brutal. I ended up switching to a different NSAID and it's been much better. Severe skin reactions are scary, though. If you notice any, get to a doctor ASAP. I've also heard of people mixing this with other medications, so if you're doing that, be careful.

I've been on Nalfon for a few years now and haven't had any major issues. I do get the occasional stomach upset, but nothing too bad. I think it might depend on the individual and how their body reacts to the meds. As long as you're careful and watch for any serious side effects, you should be okay. Always good to report things to the FDA too.
