I recently had surgery and was given Naropin 7.5mg/ml Inj for local anesthesia. The procedure was successful, but I had some unexpected side effects that I wasn't prepared for. I'm looking to connect with others who have had similar experiences and perhaps gather more knowledge on what to expect with this medication.

I’m an anesthesiologist, and Naropin is a go-to drug for us. It's crucial to monitor for any potential allergic reactions, though. Be sure to report any unusual symptoms to your healthcare provider. Methemoglobinemia is very rare but can be serious, so watch for blue lips or skin discoloration.

I had severe back pain after my procedure. My doctor said it was a side effect but could also be related to the surgery itself. It went away after a few days, but it was really unpleasant while it lasted.

I had a really bad reaction to Naropin during my epidural. I got this weird metallic taste in my mouth and started feeling extremely dizzy. Had to tell the anesthesiologist to stop the procedure because I was freaking out so much. Definitely not fun, but the doctor said it was a rare reaction.

I've had good experiences with it. It was better than lidocaine. Found it less painful when injected and kept me numb for a longer period even after the wound-healing process continued. Definitely better than lidocaine in most ways

I've had Naropin a few times for minor procedures, and while it works nicely, the burning sensation when it's injected is really unpleasant. But it does the job, and the numbness wears off pretty quickly afterward.

I'm a nurse who's worked with Naropin often. It's great for surgical procedures because it has a longer duration of action than other similar medications. It's important to monitor patients for any signs of allergic reactions, though. Always keep an eye out for rash, itching, or swelling.

Always check the drug information for more about the side effects, but it’s super common to have some of these symptoms as they can be as simple as nerve irritations. If there is any doubt, definitely talk to your doctor.

I got really sweaty and had this weird shivering sensation. It was freaky, but the doctor said it was just my body reacting to the drug.

Anyone else feel like they had a headache that lasted forever afterward? It was intense and really bothered me.

I had to get my knee scoped, and they used Naropin. It worked really well, but the worst pain I experienced came when the numbness wore off. The next day was worse than I could have imagined.
