I started taking Olanzapine ODT 5mg tablets a few months ago to manage my bipolar disorder symptoms. The orally disintegrating tablets are convenient and easy to take, but I've been curious about the long-term effects and side effects. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'd love to hear about your journeys and any tips you might have for managing side effects.

I started on 5mg and worked my way up to 10mg after a few weeks. The increase helped a lot with my bipolar symptoms, but I've had some trouble with memory lapses. Definitely something to keep an eye on.

I experienced a rash when I first started taking it, but my doctor said it was an allergic reaction and switched me to another medication. It's good to be vigilant about these things.

I've heard horror stories about the neurological symptoms. Has anyone experienced anything severe like that?

The weight gain was brutal. I gained about 20 pounds in the first six months. My doctor recommended a low-carb diet which has helped a bit, but it's a constant battle.

I've been on this for a year and the only real side effect I've noticed is some increased appetite. I'm managing it with healthy snacks and keeping a food journal.

Anyone else experienced changes in eyesight? It's been a bit concerning, and I'm not sure if it's related to the medication or something else.

I switched to the ODT form because the pill form was too hard to swallow. The ODT dissolves quickly, making it much easier to take. Just be careful, it can leave a slightly bitter taste in your mouth.
