I've been taking Quetiapine 50mg Tablets for a few months now to manage my bipolar disorder. Initially, my doctor prescribed them to help stabilize my mood swings. At first, I was a bit hesitant because of the potential side effects, but after discussing them with my psychiatrist, I decided to give it a try. So far, the medication has been a game-changer. My mood swings have significantly reduced, and I feel more in control of my emotions. However, I've experienced some side effects like drowsiness and increased appetite, which have led to weight gain. I'm working closely with my doctor to manage these issues. I'm curious to know if anyone else has had similar experiences or tips on dealing with the side effects. Also, what are the best practices for taking this medication? Is it better to take it in the morning or at night?

I wish my doctor had warned me about the weight gain. I've gained almost 20 pounds in the last 6 months. It's been a struggle, but I'm trying to manage it with diet and exercise.

Anyone else feel like they're constantly fighting the urge to nap? This stuff makes me sleepy all the time.

I had no idea it could cause such severe side effects. I'm glad I read this thread. It makes me feel more informed and hopeful after reading some of your experiences.

I stopped taking it suddenly because I felt better and now I'm paying for it. Do not do this. It can be really bad for you. Talk to your doctor about tapering off if you need to stop.

I think one of the biggest things to watch out for is the potential for tardive dyskinesia. It's rare, but it can be serious. Regular check-ups with your doctor can help catch any issues early.

Ugh, I hate the dry mouth. It’s the worst. Anyone have any tips on how to deal with it?

I've been on Quetiapine for a year now and it's helped with my schizophrenia symptoms. The drowsiness can be tough, but taking it at night has helped me sleep better. Just be careful with alcohol, it can make you feel really out of it.

I find that chewing gum helps with the dry mouth. It's a small thing, but it makes a big difference. Also, make sure you stay hydrated throughout the day.
