I've recently started using Risperidone ER 50mg Inj Susp Kit for managing my bipolar disorder. The extended-release injection is a game-changer because it ensures a steady dose of medication without the hassle of daily pills. I get an injection every two weeks, and it's made a significant difference in my symptoms. However, I'm curious about the side effects and how others have dealt with them. Have any of you experienced severe side effects like neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) or tardive dyskinesia? I've heard these can be life-threatening. Also, what about the common side effects like weight gain or gastrointestinal issues? How do you manage them? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've been on Risperidone ER for a few months now, and while it's helped stabilize my mood, I've noticed some weight gain. It's been tough to manage, but my doctor recommended a low-carb diet and regular exercise, which has helped a bit.

I had a bad experience with severe dizziness and passing out. I ended up in the ER and had to switch meds. Be careful and talk to your doctor immediately if you experience anything like that.

Anyone else dealing with the injection site irritation? It can get pretty uncomfortable sometimes, but it's worth it for the steady dose.

I've heard that some people experience changes in behavior or mood. Has anyone else dealt with this? It's tricky to manage on top of the existing condition.
