Hi everyone, I've been taking Rufinamide 400mg tablets for my Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome for the past few months, and I wanted to share my experience. I've noticed a significant reduction in the frequency of my seizures, which has been a huge improvement in my quality of life. However, I've also experienced some side effects like dizziness and drowsiness, which can be challenging at times. Has anyone else had similar experiences with this medication? I'm curious to know how others are managing these side effects and if there are any tips or tricks that might help. Also, I've been worried about the potential for more serious side effects, like changes in balance or coordination, so if anyone has any advice on monitoring for these, I'd really appreciate it.

I feel like the dizziness and drowsiness from Rufinamide are totally worth it. It's a small price to pay for not having seizures constantly. Have you tried talking to your doctor about adjusting the dosage? Sometimes that can help a bit.

Rufinamide is a lifesaver for my son who has Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster with the side effects. For a while, he was really drowsy and had trouble walking, but we worked with his doctor to adjust the dosage, and now he’s doing much better. We keep a close eye on his mood too, just in case. It’s definitely a balancing act!

I take Rufinamide too, but I haven't had any major issues besides feeling a little tired. Maybe I'm lucky, or maybe it's just because I'm still adjusting. Either way, it's worth it to keep the seizures under control.

I’ve noticed that my white blood cell count is a bit low. It’s something to keep an eye on, but my doctor says it’s manageable as long as I stay on top of it. Just make sure to get regular blood tests!

I'm glad to hear that Rufinamide is working for you! I've been on it for a few years now, and it's been a game-changer. I did experience some side effects at first, but they eased off after a while. Just make sure you stick to the dosage prescribed by your doctor and keep an eye on any unusual symptoms. Good luck!

I've been really anxious about the potential for suicidal thoughts. I had a family member who struggled with that, and it's terrifying. I make sure to check in with my doctor regularly and keep a close eye on my mental health.

I agree, the increased risk of suicidal thoughts is a bit scary. But the medication is great at managing the seizures. I think it's all about balancing the benefits with the risks and staying in constant communication with your doctor.

I've been on Rufinamide for a while now, and I can totally relate to the dizziness and drowsiness. It's been a bit of a struggle, but my doctor suggested taking the medication with food, which seems to help a bit. As for monitoring serious side effects, I keep a log of any changes in my balance or coordination and report them to my doctor during my check-ups. It's a bit of a hassle, but better safe than sorry!

Could anyone share their experience with suicidal thoughts while on Rufinamide? I want to look out for my friend who is considering starting it. Any tips would be appreciated.

Be careful with the side effects, especially the ones involving coordination. I had a bad experience where I lost my balance and fell down the stairs. It was scary, but fortunately, I wasn’t hurt. So definitely keep an eye out for any wobbliness.
