I've been on Sodium Acetate 4meq/ml Inj 50ml IVs for a couple of weeks now, and I'm curious to hear from others who have had similar experiences. I was prescribed it to help with acid-base balance issues and to supplement sodium while on TPN. I had a weird sense of balance for a few days. It went away, but it was unsettling. I think it was a side effect from this.
I had some skin irritation where the IV was. Not a big deal, but definitely something to mention to your doctor.
