I started taking Sofosbuvir/Velpatasvir 400/100mg Tb a few months ago after being diagnosed with chronic Hepatitis C. I was nervous about the side effects, but I've been luckily fine for the most part. However, I still have some questions. For example, how common are the severe side effects listed, and has anyone else here experienced something similar?

I'm also curious about how the medication is supposed to work and what to expect in the long run. I'm assuming that direct-acting antiviral heals the infection by stopping multiplication of the virus. Does anyone have experience dealing with this medication for a long time and have any advice for me?

I’ve also read that young children can take this medication, which is good to know for any parents out there who might be in a similar situation. However, I’m still trying to find more information on the long-term effects, especially for younger patients. I’m a bit worried about the additional side effects in young children, such as vomiting and spitting up the medication.

I’d really appreciate any insights or personal stories from others who have been through this. Let’s discuss!

How long did it take for you to start feeling better?

I think everyone who has Hepatitis C should at least talk to their doctor about this. It's a direct-acting antiviral, which means it directly targets the virus, so it can be pretty effective. Plus the other options are terrible.

I had a bad reaction with the medication. Seek medical attention immediately if you experience any of the urgent side effects like a rash or difficulty breathing.

I wish there was more information on the long-term effects, especially for kids. It’s scary to think about the potential side effects in young children.

I've been on this medication for a while now and it's been a game-changer. I had some fatigue and headache initially, but it was manageable. Make sure to stay hydrated and listen to your body.

I had trouble sleeping too. My doctor recommended some natural remedies that helped a lot. It’s worth trying some home remedies as well.

I've heard that reporting side effects to the FDA is helpful for everyone. I would tell them anything that feels off if it's not just a minor side effect.

I think the side effects are worth it if it means curing Hepatitis C. But everyone is different, so I would definitely consult with your doctor before making any decisions.

Has anyone tried any alternative treatments or natural remedies alongside this medication? I’m curious if there are any that help.
