I was diagnosed with kidney cancer last year and started Sunitinib 50mg Capsules as part of my treatment plan. The drug has been effective in slowing the growth of the tumor, but it hasn’t been without its challenges. I have experienced several side effects, some more severe than others. I wanted to create this thread to share my experience and learn more about what others have gone through while taking this medication. Has anyone else dealt with Sunitinib and its side effects? What strategies have you found helpful for managing them?

I’ve been on Sunitinib for a few months now, and the fatigue has been tough to manage. Anyone have any tips for dealing with the extreme tiredness?

I just switched to Sunitinib from another treatment. I keep hearing about the flu-like symptoms, which I’m dreading. But I’m hoping it works better than what I was taking. Fingers crossed!

Has anyone noticed changes in their thyroid function while on Sunitinib? I’ve been feeling really restless and weak, and my doctor thinks it might be related to the medication. It could be a side effect or a symptom of tumor lysis syndrome. Better safe than sorry, so I'm going for further testing.

I took Sunitinib for a short period and experienced severe side effects. I had to stop due to electrolyte imbalances. It’s scary how this can happen. I’m now on a different treatment plan, and so far, it’s been better. But this stuff really messed with my system.

I heard that taking Sunitinib can cause some pretty bad mouth sores. Anyone have any tips for dealing with this side effect? I need to stock up on the best products for mouth sores, so any recommendations would be appreciated.

I had to deal with some serious mood swings on Sunitinib. It was tough on my family and me. However, my doctor adjusted my dosage, and it helped a lot. Keep in touch with your medical team and don’t be afraid to ask for adjustments if needed.
