I've been prescribed Tirosint 175mcg Capsules for hypothyroidism to replace the hormone my thyroid gland isn't producing enough of. It's been a game-changer for my energy levels and overall well-being, but I've experienced some side effects. I've noticed some hair loss, which my doctor says is temporary, but I'm also dealing with mood swings and occasional muscle cramps. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I'm curious to hear from others who are taking this medication and how they're managing any side effects.

I've been taking Tirosint for almost 5 years, switched from levothyroxine. I found that Tirosint worked better for me as it has pure thyroid hormone and no fillers. My doctor recommended taking it before bed and it worked much better for my energy levels and mood.

Don’t forget, your body takes time to adjust to such changes. It’s best to consult and take action again after a few months to be sure. Maybe it’s your body reacting to change.

I get a rash every time I take this stuff. I'm going back to my doctor.my doc recommended me to switch to another brand as it worked better for me. I'm annoyed, but I'm glad I finally found something that works!

Has anyone tried switching to a liquid form of Levothyroxine? I hear it's easier to adjust the dosage, but I'm not sure if it's as effective as the capsules.

Switching from Levoxyl to this, and which brand is better? There’s so much mixed information! The hair loss is a worry though, I’d need to make sure it is temporary if I switch.

I take my Tirosint with my coffee in the morning. I know it's not ideal, but it's the only way I can get it down without feeling nauseous. I would ask your doctor before doing this, though.

This is tough. I had to switch from Tirosint to a different brand because of severe headaches and dizziness. My doctor thought it might be due to the fillers or binders in the Tirosint capsules. It’s worth talking to your doctor if the symptoms are too much to handle.

Wow, this is surprising. I was on levothyroxine for a while, but I didn't feel any side effects. I found that taking it consistently in the morning, on an empty stomach, and then waiting 30 minutes before eating helped me avoid any potential stomach issues. It’s been invaluable for my energy levels, though.
